Summertime
I think i wrote about 5 entries the entire school year and now its time for summer again. Oh well. My summer is going to be pretty much the same as last summer. Laura and I are alternating weeks watching the same two families we watched last summer. It should be a good time but I know that it will definetly be tough work, but that job doesnt start until next week so for now I'm enjoying relaxing.:) Since I havn't updated since February there is definetly alot new but too much to remember to write in here. The most exciting thing of this semester was getting into the school of education! I was so excited and in fall I will begin practicum and finally be free of gen eds that have nothing to do with my major. If anyone wants to hang out at all this summer I am free most nights since my job is only during the day. I will do my best to keep this updated better this summer:)

Why did it have to get cold again?
I was so excited last week when it was so gorgeous out. Me and my roomie even did some spring cleaning! Yes, we knew it wasnt spring yet but one can hope right? You find alot of stuff when you clean out your dorm room and under your fouton. Found some stuff that isnt even mine so if you are reading this and I have something of yours please come claim it because I dont really want it!

So spring semester is starting to pick up. No midterms for me yet but they are coming soon! Good luck to everyone that already is in the proccess of taking midterms.

Basicly I have been at class and am sick and tired of walking around in the cold. The first week back to school LK came to visit and we had soo much fun! Next weekend Jenny, Matt, and Justin are coming to visit which will be lots of fun! I love visitors, so if anyone wants to come and visit just let me know! Other than that there isn't a whole lot that is new. I'm still in the process of applying for the school of edcuation, and the deadline is quickly approaching. I just want an oficial decalred major so much so I can get out of the no major category.

Back in Madtown
So I'm trying really really hard to update my livejournal more frequesntly than every two months!

I am back in Madison now for the semester and glad to be back. A break is nice but eventually you run out of things to do. It was soo good to see everyone over break tho. That is the one thing I dont like about college is that I never see any of my friends back home. So far I have only had one day of school which consisted of Educational Psychology and Modern Jazz Dance. So all in all today was a good day. Tomorrow I have intro ecology which sounds like a huge snore, Math 131 which is geometry so I already know I'm not going to like it, and the history of Germany which I am very excited about. Last year spring semester flew by so we'll see how it goes this semester

My good news for the week is I got the results of my PPST test for education and I passed so I don't have to take it anymore. Thank goodness I had more success on that than I did on the ACT! Right now I am in the process of applying to the school of education so cross your fingers that all goes well, otherwise any suggestions for something else I could major in?

My new years resolution should be to update my journal more.....
So I was looking at the last time I updated and that was two months ago! So much has gone on in these past two months that I couldn't fit it all into a livejournal entry! For those of you out there that check my live journal I'm sorry I am so bad at updating and hopefully next semester will be better.

Last week and basicly the whole month of December was kinda crazy. I finished finals exams last Tuesday night after having a double header that day. Poli Sci and History back to back is definetly not a good time. I spent all last Monday studying like crazy wondering how I was going to keep everything straight, but somehow I got through it and it wasn't even that bad. I even managed to pull off an A in history which I thought was impossible and I'm still waiting for my poli sci grade to come through.

So this semester grade wise has turned out to be okay. When i look back on these past 4 months I amazed at what has all happened. Some good and some not so good. If you want the details you can ask me online because I don't really have the space to make a livejournal entry about it.

I am however super excited for next semester. I have modern jazz dance as a class ( I love it when you can dance and get credit!!) I also am taking math 131 which is another math class for teachers, the history of germany, educational psychology and intro to ecology. I am excited about every class but introduction to ecology because it sounds like a huge snore but I have to take it so I will! However I can see myself skipping Firday lecture for it alot:) Next semester I am also applying to the school of education which is exciting and terrifying all at the same time. It is exciting because if I get in I will finally have a declared major and a path for my life but if I dont I am not really sure what I am going to do. So hopefully it all works out.

I hope everyone has a fabulous break and enjoys their time. I am loving not having anything to do but I think I will get bored fast so give me a call if you want to do something. I miss everyone soo very much! I am still working on my new years resolutions. I didn't really make any last year so I cant say that I fulfilled all my resolutions.

Alright I think that is enough for about now. If I keep with my pattern I wont update until February which would be sad so I will try my best to keep this updated for all the people that read my livejoural:)!!

So it's been awhile
I don't even remember the last time i updated my journal. But I have been told by certain people that I need to update my journal which means that at least someone is reading it ;). Anyway there has been alot that has happened since I last updated my journal. Alot of it I dont really want to post in a live journal entry but if you want to know ask me.

So it's been a crazy couple of weeks. School is going well but it is definetly alot of work. I went home 2 weeks ago for the first time all year which was fun. The next time I go home will be Thanksgiving, I just don't have the time to go home this year like I did last year.

The Badger games have been awesome. We are undefeated 8-0! which makes each game so much fun. There is only one game left against Minnesota next week which should be a really really good game :) This weekend is Halloween. Halloween in Madison I don't think i really have to explain. Karen and Kyle are coming from Eau Claire and LK is coming from Stout so I am super excited to see all of them. It's been so long!

I now have a facebook entry which I hope to be better at keeping up with than my Livejournal so go there if you want more up to date information. Everyone should join the facebook its really cool how you can connect to people you went to high school with and people that go to different schools.

Back to School
It has been like a month since I updated my journal so to all of you out there who check my journal and never see an update I'm sorry.

Anyway I'm back in Madtown. I have been here 2 weeks now. Classes started last Thursday and so far I have only had 3 of my 4 classes and feel very overwhelmed. So hopefully things will go well this semester. So far it has been alot of fun. The first Badger game was on Saturday and it was tons of fun besides being incredibly hot. Then on Sunday my dorm went to 6 flags which was alot of fun.

Alright time to go to class. Sorry the update is short I will try to add more later.

I think its time for an update
I'm not really sure where to start since its been awhile since my last update.

Last week was VBS at my church and I taught 4th grade. It was a fun experience but the kids were full of energy. I forgot what it was like to be in 4th grade and I kinda miss those times where you have no real worrries. It was also fun to hang out with some of my church friends again!

Last night was very sad. I had to say goodbye to Laura K who leaves for England on Wed and won't be back until after I leave for school. (I better get a postcard Laura!) I also went out with Karen, Kyle, Andrea and Laura. I am gonna miss my friends from home so much but we will all be together again for Halloween 2004 in Madison!!! Lor, Karen, and I are already planning our Charlie's Angels outfits any suggestions anyone??

This week is my last full week of babysitting. I can't believe how fast the summer went. I'm really excited to go back to school and a little stressed out about it all at the same time! I move back to Madtown 2 weeks from this Tuesday so if anyone wants to do anything in the next two weeks let me know!

I will try to update my profile more regularly when I get back to school since I know you are all dying to read it! A speical shout out to Seth and LK who told me my journal needed some updating. (at least I know you two read it!) I also love comments so make sure to leave some!!

This one is for Laura K.
So I'm updating my journal just for Laura because she told me mine needed an update.

Last week I went on vacation to the Dells with the fam. It was fun. We stayed in a condo at the wilderness which was very nice. The weather wasn't too good but we did get some swimming in and its nice to get away for a couple days!

Tonight i had an awesome time with Laura. We went mini golfing and I lost but it was still a good time! Then we went to Culvers for custard and sat and talked til it was time for the place to close. I miss all my friends from high school so much when I am at Madison! :(

This week I'm back to babysitting but I don't have to babysit on Friday so if anyone is free let me know.

I can hardly believe how fast summer is going 6 weeks from tomorrow I move back to Madison! Well thats about all for now Im exhausted and I have to get up tomorrow! Hope everyone has a good week!

It's been awhile!
I'm not really sure the last time I update my journal but I know it has been awhile. I havn't updated b/c there hasn't really been anything too noteworthy to write about and I havn't had too much time.

Summer has been going good. Sunday I went to summerfest with Lor, Andre and Jenny and it was tons of fun despite the ran. I love summerfest and am prolly going again on Saturday so if you are going to be down there let me know.

This week has been very busy. I am volunteering at Discovery world all week and I have to be there by 8:30 and I leave around 4:30 so its kinda a long day. It has been fun tho. The theme for my group is spy gadgets and we have 24 8-10 year old kids so they wear me out. I did get to see Diane on Tuesday while she was working at the Imax and I was at Discovery World so that was good! I miss my roomie and Madison soo much. This seems like the longest summer ever (maybe b/c I have never been done in May before or maybe b/c I just want to be back up there!)

Anyway that is about all I can think of for now. Next week I'm going on vacation with the fam so if anyone wants to do something this week yet let me know. I hope everyone is having a great summer!

It's been a busy week!
I'm not sure the last time I updated so I will just start with the beginning of the week. It has been a super busy week and its only Wednesday! On Sunday my family and I went to a 50th wedding anniversary. It was actaully kind of fun except for the fact that basicly everyone there speaks fluent german. I was not about to test my german skills with native speakers so I just acted like I didn't understand german. Then on Monday I started another week of babysitting but it was only Monday Tuesday Wednesday this week so now I'm done for the week. Yay! I felt like such a mom this week driving the kids to all their activities and having my car full of books and toys and candy wrappers. It suprisingly was a fast week but these kids wear me out! On Monday night Seth came to visit me and we went to Alterra downtown and I had this excellent smoothie (much better than the mocha I had last time there). Then we went and walked along the lake and sat on the rocks it was beautiful outside on Monday night and the lake is so gorgeous. It was so much fun. Then Laura K was here on Monday night when we got back so we hung out here for awhile and that was a good time! Tuesday night we went to my Grandparents and had cake and coffee with the relatives here from germany. Its hard to follow a conversation that is in half english and half german when your german skills aren't that great. Today I went to the eye doctor and found out my eyes still arent better and I have to go back tomorrow. Im not really sure what they are going to do and I'm kinda scared! Then Jenny and Matt came tonight and we went out to TGIFridays and it was wonderful and of course we had way too much food.

One week of Babysitting down!
So I just finished my first week of babysitting. It was alot more work than I thought it would be but not too bad. Those kids do wear me out a ton and they play outside constantly! I dont really tan so I'm just a nice shade of red! Oh well red is a good look right? I havnt really done anything too fun in the past week except go out with Andrea. :) I hope everyone is having a good week and I will try to update again soon b/c I know you are all dying for my updates. hehe

I Love Visitors!!
Last night Jennie Carson came to stay with us and it was soo much fun. Except for the fact that I had a terrible headache but that's a different story. It was soo good to see Jennie again. I hadn't seen her since New Years. I love college but all this never getting to see my high school friends stuff is not cool. Anyway we went to the Olive Garden and Jenny and Kara came with us so it was a good time. We has soo much food and the desserts were just amazing! Then we went off to Mayfair to do some shopping. Oh how I love to show I didn't buy anything but it was still fun!

Yesterday I started my first day of full time babysitting. It was a lot of work we played outside basicly all day and of course I turned a nice lovly shade of red! Anyway I babysitting during the day but I'm always done by 5 so if anyone wants to do something at night give me a call. Hope everyone's summers are going great!

My Computer is Finally Fixed!
I have learned this week that I know absolutly nothing about computers. My computer's internet connection died on Monday and I tried so hard to fix it but nothing worked. I even talked on the phone to the help line people who were getting very annoyed with my lack of ability to understand what to do. Any way my computer was down for 4 days and it froze while I was online so even if I signed off on another computer I was still signed on by this computer. It was such a mess and that explains why I was constantly online!

Justin, Chelsea and Andrea came over last night we we watched Love Actually. I love that movie! It's just soo good! Justin fixed my computer for me so I was really happy about that :)

Next week I start one of my summer babysitting jobs which should be fun. The best part about next week is Jennie is coming to visit :) I havn't seen her since New Years! I love college but I hate the fact that I never see my friends from high school!

Summer is going good. If anyone wants to hang out let me know. I usually just babysit druing the day so my nights are free!

It's been awhile...
Hey Everyone! Its been so long I don't know where to start with the update! I have been off of school for a week now. It's been nice to relax but I'm ready to start working. I dont start my summer job until next week because my summer job is babysitting different families and the kids are still in school, but it should be a good time! Im also volunteering at Discovery World for a week which should be fun. I'm doing that because if I want to apply for the school of Education in the fall I need volunteer hours, so we'll see how that goes. I can't believe I'm dont with my first year of college it went super fast. Second semester went way better than first so that made me happy. My last week at Madison was a blast despite stupid finals so I was really sad to leave. We just set up a new wireless system at our house so now every computer has the internet so far its worked out soo much better! Well we didnt actually set up anything my wonderful roomie did it for us! Thanks Diane!:) If anyone wants to do anything Im pretty free this next week so let me know! I'll try to keep my journal updated better this summer!

Why, Why would someone take our shower curtains??
So I wake up this morning like every other morning, which means i usually get up later than i should. I go into the bathroom to find every single shower has no curtains. So I think its just the 6th floor so I go up to 7 to take a shower. When I get out of the shower there are alot of girls waiting for the showers on the 7th floor. Then I find out that none of the other floors have showers except for 7 and 8. Why would someone take our shower curtains?? 2 bathrooms for 10 floors just isnt going to work. So right now we have 2 shower curtains that have been replaced. 2 for 70 people!! I dont think this is going to work!! Is it summer yet???

What a week and its only Tuesday1
So last night we found out the TAs were striking so that meant pretty much every class I had today was cancelled. Its nice to have a break, but right before finals is a little stressful! Anyway this morning I was woken up by the sounds of Tas chanting and cars honking their horns. I was not a happy girl! I love my sleep and when it gets disturbed I get very angry. I did however have to cross oen pickett line today. I felt bad but I had to go to class I never read for that class so if I dont go to lecture I have nothing. But I used my spare time today to take a nap. Yay for naps they have to be my most favorite free time activity. So there are 16 days left to my first year of college and I have soo many things to do before I go. Im gonna miss Madison soo much over the summer but good news I get to move in a few days early because im a Badger Buddy! Tomorrow Im not so lucky and I have to go to class. My 2 dance classes will still go on and I have a test in one of them! Craziness there shouldnt be written tests in dance classes but oh well I also have to go to history lecture b/c my paper is due Wish me luck while i cross the pickett lines of ag hall tomorrow! Who knew you would have to fight to go to class??

This weekend was Awesome
So as you can tell from the title I had a pretty good weekend. Despite the fact that I had to write an english paper and film a german video. It started out good when I checked my mail and found out my only class on Friday was canceled! That made me happy, plus it was an all new FRIENDS on Thursday. Only 2 more left :( Then on Friday was the spring formal. I got to wear my homecoming dress from last year! eee I love that dress. The dance was lots of fun I just love to dance so much. Then we went over to Neishas dorm and I couldn't stop laughing. It was great fun! Then yesterday was a blast. First I went to Chins with Neisha and Kat, the food is soo yummy there and of course I ate way too much, but it was so good who could resist. Then we all went to see the Madhatters concert. Its an all guy acapella group and they are soo amazing. it was a 3 hour concert but so good! Then it was back to Neisha's dorm for a margarita party and as Neisha called it a milestone in my life. I dont know about that but it was a super fun time! We aslo ordered pizza from pizza di roma which was a mistake because it took over an hour and wasnt even good! So never ordering from there again. Then I had to get up early this morning so I could go great at church. It wasnt super early , but still I was exhausted! So now the big question for the week is are the TA's going to strike and we will have Tuesday and Wednesday off??? Who knows! Well thats all for now!

So much to do So little time
As I sit here not doing the homework I should be doing I realized how much there is to do before school ends and how there isnt much time left to do it.

Friday night I went to a ballet becuase I had to for ballet class and it was an interesting performanc. I didnt like it too much. Well maybe thats because it started late because of not one but two fire drills. It made of an interesing experience. Saturday was just the day from hell. English researching is not fun! I spent the afternoon in the law library looking for one article and I felt like such a freshman so lost and so out of place in the law building and the thing that made me the most made is you can pring thses articles off the internet but our teacher insists on us making photocopies of the actual book. I was not amused. Then i get back to my room to find that my printer is broken. It just fell aprat on me. It was very sad. But it was all ok b/c the fam came today and brought me a printer from home and my wonderful roomie hooked it up for me! You wouldnt think a printer would be har dto hook up but for me it prolly would have taken all afternoon and it took her like 5 minutes. So sad but true! I dont know what I would do without her to fix all my computer problems!!

Thats about all tomorrow starts another long week full of many thigns to do. Tuesday I register at 6:30 in the morning! Its insane I dont have class til 9:30 but I have to get up at 6:30 to register

Summer is coming!!
So looking at the calendar today I realized that there are only 30 days until summer! That is a really cool thought until I realized all I have to do before summer actually gets here1 In English class today we went over our final research project and it is going to be way more work than I thought and less than 30 days to get it all done! Then to top it off I have german projects and history papers besides all the normal reading and homework! I know all my college friends can feel my stress! Oh well the carefree days of summer are quickly approaching :) Crazy to think my freshman year of college is over!

Yay for good weekends!
I went home this week for Easter and it was tons of fun! I can finally eat dessert again and I have been eating chocolate all day! But hey i gave it up for 6 and a half weeks so I think i deserve on day of chocolate eating! Then we went to my grandparents for excellent food and then it was back to madtown1 I am now completely stocked with yummy food so i wont have to eat in the chad cafe for awhile :)

Friday night was tons of fun. I went to MLHS for the service of death. It was so fun to see all my wonderful friends again. My roomie came with us so she got to see MLHS idk if thats exciting or not! It felt good to be back at the place being in the gym felt like chapel there. I dont really miss being in high school but I do miss chapel there!

Saturday I went shopping which is my most favorite thing to do. I got cute new sandals and new shirts which were all from the good old easter bunny! You can never be too old for an easter basket! Then I went out to dinner with the fam and it was a good night!

Only about 5 weeks left til school is over and I cant believe how much I have to do before then. Finals and final papers and projects are quickly approaching and I cant say Im looking forward to it :( I also have to do scheduling for next semester which is not a ton of fun since were still at the bottom of the list for registration. Oh well Ill just have to cross my fingers that it all works out!
